OK, I actually followed the link and watched the video. It's, sadly, pretty consistent with my understanding of how currency creation works. I'm not sure his proposed "solution" actually takes into account how far behind we have already put ourselves.

I'm curious, though. He claims that is there is no debt, there is no currency. What happens if a select few start to move to zero debt before the remainder of the people? How will that shift wealth? Can the world gradually move to a zero debt position without ruining standards of living?
