Defecting from Valentine's Day
I've pretty much had it with this holiday. With all holidays like this. I'm only 20 and I can no longer stand to give gifts. Especially the ones you're supposed to, as advertised. gifts are nice, but for the most part it's open,surprise,enjoy. the best parts really come from the dinners you get together at where the gifts are exchanged. those are just hug,laugh,talk,enjoy.
the best christmas gifts i get are coming home and seeing people i haven't seen in ages. potluck dinners & skating & stay-in movie nights & snowman building are where it's at. the best gifts are emails & phone calls & face-to-face meetings.
the best gifts are making time for those you care about.
