I couldn't agree with you more. I first heard about this Monday morning, during my first class (Dr. Wright had seen it when she arrived on campus around 7:30 in the morning), and my immediate reaction was, "What the hell?" Then I had a few moments to think it over, and realized the extent of the idiocy involved. A black bear cub, huh? What idiots! Okay, so what if bear season is open, isn't it not allowed to shoot a cub? And that's just on the shooting of the cub, then there's this whole incident, which is absolutely asinine. I was surprised to see an article about this (from WYFF) on the front page of Digg, and was both surprised and irked by that. First, it's neat that Western is mentioned in national news, but absolutely pathetic that it's being mentioned for something like this. I don't want the Uni to get attention for the actions of idiots who would do something like that. I want it to be known that this act is not representative of how the majority think or would act

Yeah, I was trying to figure out who would do something like that. Really drnk Obama fans who thought it would be funny? because that is not good press for Obama. Or maybe it was anti-Obama people who were comparing him to a dead bear or trying to get him bad press.
