I hate these things

Off to a memorial service for a friend who died earlier this week. I dislike these things but his wife was a very dear friend and so was he, so I will have to socialize with mourning people. He was only 36

I'm sorry to hear that you lost a friend, and so young. I wouldn't want to go to a memorial service either.

The place was packed, standing room only for the service. I think we also went WAY over the 200 person limit at the pub where the reception was held, it also was packed. So many peoples, so much love and support for his widow, was really heartening to see.

They'd been together for about 7-8 years and had just gotten married in July.

It really made me wake up and think about things in life that aren't done till it's too late.
