How do you get your brain out of the mode where you don't feel like you've got enough brain power to figure out a light switch, let alone anything productive?

I've been regaining my ambition bit by bit, but my confidence is shot.

My emotions are totally contradictary... I'm feeling ambitious and unmotivated, cheerful and depressed, tired and energetic, needing company and feeling anti-social... I never realized you could have so many opposite emotions at the same time! GRRR!!!
