Mouth: ...Thorondir? Are you okay?
Thorondir: um. I have to leave you alone now. And stop being a pest.
Mouth: *nods* Ioreth talked to you then but you're okay right?
Thorondir: *small voice* Yes. Can I go, please?
Mouth: *concerned look* If you want to.
Thorondir: *nods and scurries off*
Mouth: *wanders off to find Ioreth*
Ioreth: *putting out a small fire in the kitchen*
Mouth: o.O What happened?
Ioreth: A Galmod
Mouth: Oh. Looks like you have it under control. How are you doing?
Ioreth: Wonderfully. *wipes some soot off her face*
Mouth: *starts making coffee* Ah really? What have you been up to that has gone wonderfully?
Ioreth: Just a good mood.
Mouth: *smiles* Glad to hear it. Coffee for you?
Ioreth: And Thorondir should be leaving you alone now. *eyes some poptarts suspiciously* Did I make these? They look like something I'd make while feeling particularily evil. Coffee would be nice, yes
Mouth: *pours a cup* Yes...he seemed rather intent on leaving me along earlier this morning. What happened?
Ioreth: I just told him no one was interested in his attention getting. *sips*
Mouth: Well it worked. Toast?
Ioreth: Sure. And good. Was fairly sure I'd gotten the point across
Mouth: Ah. *sits down* Um...well sorry for my part in it.
Ioreth: *waves hand* You shouldn't have encouraged him
Mouth: You're right. Didn't really mean to...
Ioreth: Yes, well, if he starts again just tell him you're not interested and leave. It'll be easier all around if that gets nipped at the bud
Mouth: Right. Will remember that. *figets with coffee*
Ioreth: Unless you are, at which point I'll have to point out again in detail just how old he is. *sips her coffee*
Mouth: Am quite a bit more interested in you...
Ioreth: oh good
Mouth: *small smile*
Ioreth: Considered re-scarring his face. He was a bit more tolerable when the only thing he thought so highly of himself was his mind. *shakes head* Brat
Mouth: Let him be...his sulking over is really almost as bad as his cockyness...and it seems like your talking to him did work...
Ioreth: I know. I just wanted to actually do something
Mouth: Wait and see if he slips back into it. Don't scar him again unless he reverts.
Ioreth: I always did like his little mask
Mouth: Well then order him to wear it outside his room as a sort of tangible warning...
Ioreth: now, that's just odd
Mouth: Keep the scarring as a last resort sort of thing. You have leverage if you just threatening him with it.
Ioreth: You still intent on being the one to watch him instead of Trotter?
Mouth: I'll accept whatever you think is best.
Ioreth: I don't care either way. I just want to be clear who I yell at when he causes more trouble
Mouth: Okay. I'll be responsible for him.
Ioreth: Lovely. Have fun
Mouth: I don't expect it will be fun. ...You will hold off on the scarring him right?
Ioreth: Unless he earns it or dies again, he's perfectly safe
Mouth: Okay...
So as long as I can convince Thorondir not to do anything stupid that ends in his death, he should be okay. I really adore Ioreth but the nochalant way she uses Rethium disturbs me. Admittedly much more now that I know what it feels like...
