I was really into Spooks in the early days, but when they got rid of Tom, Danny, AND Zoe, I couldn't be bothered to keep up. I sort of watched series 4 and then quit.

All of this Harry/Ruth action intrigues me and I may start again. Or not. I have a pretty full plate, entertainment-wise.

Weirdly enough I thought S3 was the best because everyone left. Those episodes were just so good, though heartbreaking. Fandom didn't like S4-S6 so much anyway, so I guess there wasn't a lot to be missed. I liked Adam and Fiona though, but when she got killed off I didn't even bother watching it.

Oh, you should! If you just want certain episodes only for the Harry/Ruth, watch 4x05, 4x09, 5x03-5x05.

I love Spooks so much more than Alias! I was completely into it just because of Tom. I think this is the kind of stuff that JJ Abrams would like to write and always fails... Im so bitter!

Hee, I was in it for both Tom and Zoe because this was where Matthew and Keeley first got together, so I was looking for any hints between them. I haven't seen Alias at all, but with Spooks being one of the best spy shows I've seen, I almost don't want to watch anything else because it's so great.

Re: Fiona's death -- they flashback to it SO MANY TIMES in S5. It is difficult.

Also, yeah, fandom didn't really like Jo until S6, which I was always smug about because I'd thought she was awesome all along. Take that, fandom.

They are pretty much the only pairing with a glimmer of hope. Actually I guess Tom/Zoe could work out too, now that they're both out of MI5.

Ugh, so lame. Luckily 5x05 was not one of them.

I like that she's a beginner to the service, making her quite relatable to all of us, really. Adam teaching her is so cute.

Apparently in a Spooks guide book of dubious authenticity Tom and Christine got married after Tom left the service. I am completely down with that. I hate, hate, hate Zoe/Will, though. I WANT TO PUNCH WILL IN THE FACE. Or the groin. Either/or.

The flashbacks are actually really well done, to a point. Adam develops a major case of PTSD, which starts out interestingly but sort of gets tedious after awhile. It's really pretty, though?

I like that aspect too! But apparently because she was new that meant she was useless. I would assert that she didn't get a lot to do at first, but not getting a lot to do =/= useless. She's rather fab in the S5 premiere, and S6 is basically the series of Jo and Ros being better than everybody else.

I read that elsewhere and I'm satisfied with that ending, too. I never understood Zoe/Will at all - I felt their relationship was too rushed and I just never clicked with Will.

Oh, I like Ros! At least from what I've seen of her. SHE JUST HATES EVERYONE AND I LOVE IT.
