you've inspired me to read her book! during the bush years i reached the same conclusion you did in your last paragraph, about being unable to change politics (other than casting your vote) and not letting it get you down. it has improved my life enormously. turn off the news, even npr: just listen to the music! and car talk because they laugh all the time! enjoy every minute of your life and help others to enjoy theirs. what else is there?
