MUTANTREGULAR!VERSE:
AGE: 24 - 35 BUT CHECK RELEVANT SUBVERSE FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
Julio Esteban Richter (aka Rictor) can be likened to a can which has lost its label. You kind of want to know what is on the inside but you aren’t sure you are going to necessarily like it. Sure Julio (Ric to most people) looks good, tasty even, and hell he knows this fact! Has done from a very young age. People always said he was easy on the eye but still despite what he may look like it’s what is on the inside that counts.
When Julio was six years old he was forced to watch his father (an arms merchant) being killed by a group of unknown assailants. A raid gone wrong, that left a no longer innocent Julio clinging to the body of his father and screaming for help.
The sudden death of his father ended a time in his life which Julio often reflects upon with fondness. However this also meant that he had no immediate family who wanted to take him in. So his step-mother, Viviana Esteban also known as Mama Vivi, brought him up with more than a little help from his extended family; an eclectic mix of gun-runners, arms traders and miscreants.
A year or so later Julio’s powers manifested and he slowly learnt to develop (with guidance from his step-mother) but not exactly control his mutant ability of releasing seismic energy through his fingertips. Using it to create earthquakes, shockwaves or otherwise transport earth matter, Julio soon discovered his connection with the earth beneath his feet. Spending hours in the garden Julio would find any excuse to kick off his shoes and bury his feet into the dust and dirt. Some people said he developed an unhealthy obsession with mother earth, Julio would argue it was about then that he started to find himself.
Early on though, whilst he was still young and fresh faced, Julio decided to keep his ‘skills’ quiet. He didn't tend to flaunt them too much, well not unless he really wanted to make a point.
He was discovered by the terrorists group the Right and kidnapped after he turned seventeen, having managed to draw attention to himself by killing the men involved with his fathers’ murder. The Right had him wired up to some machine in the hopes that he would shake San Francisco to the ground in his stress. Apparently luck was on Julio’s side this time and he was freed before he could do any long term damage to San Francisco... or himself. It was during this brief window in his life that Julio contemplated whether the world would be better off without him. Apparently he couldn’t even manage to pull the plug on himself so rather than try again and again Julio accepted that maybe sometimes things just had to suck before they got better. He now readily accepts that the world wouldn’t necessarily be a better place without him but it would sure as hell be quieter.
Owing his life (in more ways than one) to the rebels it was little wonder he spent the rest of his teenage years as a member of this group, taking time to learn more about his skills and other mutants. Whilst with them he quickly caught up with any of his missed education and eventually he decided to leave and choose to attend college. This was where he met Ophelia.
After managing to draw attention to himself once more Ric skipped out of college before his finals, leaving Ophelia behind and picking up the family business. Working with the Central American Army, he provided them with weapons and military paraphernalia as well as developing his combat skills.
His brief embrace of freedom was swiftly ended by his own foolish actions.
Julio stumbled, or should that be rumbled, his way into Stryker’s life, after breaking into one of his bases and trying to steal files on a top secret mutant experiment. As he was trying to escape Julio managed to destroy three of the buildings, but managed to get himself caught inside. When Julio was finally pulled free of the rubble and remains of the compound, Stryker gave him the choice of becoming a part of the experiment or working for him. At the time Julio chose what he thought was to be the lesser of two evils and with that he was swiftly packed up and shipped out to join the rest of the team in Africa.
It is here that his Live Journal diary picks up.
POWERS: Julio is capable of generating and releasing seismic energy and tremendously powerful waves of vibrations in any nearby object, causing said objects to shatter and/or crumble. When used against objects with a larger surface, the effects are much like an earthquake. The powers in question appear to affect organic objects in much the same way as inorganic ones however the male mutant is immune to the harmful effects of the vibrations that he creates. Through interviews and from his complied history it would seem that the mutant known as RICTOR has often expressed his reluctance to use these powers in tectonically unstable areas, for fear that he could not control the effects. Further lines of enquiry are required to test the theory that the mutant is actually in tune with the earth; according to research many individuals in his past highlighted his passion for the earth.

TEAM X!VERSE: team_x
AGE: 26
Life for Julio has been what generally could be summed up as somewhat of a roller-coaster ride. The emotional ups and downs have surely shaped Julio into the man he is today. In part he truly is a rebel, once without a cause but now with a greater sense of direction. Julio has always meant well and he puts a lot of passion and faith (not necessarily religious) into what he does. Whether this is trading weapons, fighting, laughing, socialising, defending friends or whatever else life throws at the young Mexican.
He has always been a man of extremes, venting his anger verbally and physically one moment and then letting his sensitive and caring side show. Since joining the team Julio has begun to settle, it would be good to say that this is due to him maturing and learning from life experiences but if there is one thing that Julio has always done well it is not learning from his mistakes!
There have been so far some pretty amazing highs for Julio since joining the team, he found in Rogue (Ruby) a sister, confident, best friend and part time nanny/cleaner/mother/carer. In Nori, Kurt and more recently Manuel he found people he could call friends and also another adoptive sister, because he likes the thought of having a huge extensive extended family just a little bit too much. Julio also met Victor, a man he once contemplated converting to the ‘guy side’ but soon learnt that it was far better to have the feral as a reluctant ally than an eager enemy and his on and off again partner Emma; a stunningly gorgeous, intelligent and strong minded telepath with the ability to make Julio giggle like a school girl.
He also found Ophelia ( mad_asahatter ), his college sweetheart and one of the few people/mutants who could ever understand Ric and all his little "isms". Ric recently had to suffer losing her when she went off camp to fulfil other objectives but (thankfully) has returned. Unannounced and as adorably odd as ever.
But then there have been some pretty awful lows, such as losing pretty much everyone he considered a friend including Rogue, Emma, Allison, Manuel, Kurt, Sinister and Ophelia (who came back!) Oh and then there was the thing with him having his arm broken by Logan ( 45825243_t78_a ), nearly losing Martini after Logan (yet again!) tried to turn him into a kebab and various other fiascos he managed to get himself embroiled in.
Yet despite all this turmoil Ric does have one person. His Martini ( time_schizo ) An individual who at first made Julio contemplate for hours on end just how much he could truly loathe an individual to the point where he’d considered punching him anytime he came close. (Mostly this was due to a sick sense of revenge for breaking his nose.) A regular Tom and Jerry couple, Julio and Martini developed a love/hate relationship which over time has swayed distinctly towards the love and less of the hate...though for all intents and purposes they still fight like cat and dog over anything and everything! Julio is also well aware of the fact that technically in this relationship he seems to have ended up as the girl... though he will deny this to his dying day.

Aka - Glimpse of the Future
AGE: Varying (generally 32+)
A mostly written verse. A glimpse at what happens after Team X to our hopelessly loved up boys (Ric and Martini) and girl (Ophelia)?
Set from the time they leave the Team and head off into the wider world this verse is drabbled based with the potential for RP if we decide so. Learning to cope with everything from living together, to breaking up, the highs and lows of children, the joys marriage, buying cars and houses, earning money and the day to day routines that have become normal for this anything but average family.

Julio works as a trader and travelling around the globe to do business and work any jobs that happen his way. He's still as arrogant as ever, a little egotistical and a incorrigible flirt. Victor ( watch_the_nails ) still hasn't successfully managed to get rid of him (no matter how many times he might change his address and threaten the Mexican), and he still thinks that Jessie ( pdxrain ) is pretty darn hot! Even though she is now pregnant, with twins by the feral who regularly threatens his life. For fun.
Julio’s life has been turned on its head after the rather handsome, alluring and jaw droppingly cute Pheonix ( ashes_ascended ) came into his life. They’ve had an interesting time of it, with the pair moving in together and setting up (in a safe house) a new home in Brazil for various reasons. Let us just say that Ric now appreciates the fact he isn’t half as weird or different as he had first thought.
So Julio (a grade A flirt) has now settled down to become a family man with Phoenix and his son, Sam ( ataraxisminor ). He just hopes that they can stick it out through the highs, lows and general craziness that seems to be their lives.

Cajoled into moving away from home by his step mother(after a few run-ins with the wrong people) Ric takes up an offer he can hardly refuse; a chance to live in a refuge/home for mutants only. The thing is unlike many of the other occupants Ric has an agenda. He isn't there because he wants to make the world a better place? Heck no, Julio Richter is a mutant, arms trader, gambler, dealer, player and general miscreant. Trouble is his middle name.
Due to his (deceased) father's business, Julio (Ric to close friends) socialises in a range of circles so he has always mixed with an eclectic mix of people and mutants. He doesn't often take sides unless there is money involved and then the highest bidder generally will get Julio's loyalty. He's not above cheating and will willingly lie, manipulate, charm, fuck, gamble, torment, bribe and sleep with anyone to get what he wants.
He isn't a nasty person really; just head strong, self confident and most certainly knows what he wants. Especially seeing as Ric tends to live by his own rules:
1) Keeps your friends close but your enemies closer.
2) If you want it take it.
3) All is fair in love and war.
4) There is nothing in life that can't be bought for a fair price.
So here sees Ric living (and sharing a room) at Forteset Liber, looking to have fun, make friends, flirt and see what trouble he can cause during his stay.

Due to his father's business, Julio (Ric to close friends) socialises in a range of circles meaning he gets to meet and fraternise with an eclectic range of people. He doesn't often take sides unless there is money or a pretty lady (or guy) involved and then the highest bidder generally will get Julio's loyalty. He's not above cheating and will willingly lie, manipulate, charm, fuck, gamble, kill, torture, torment, bribe and sleep with anyone to get what he wants. As a rule he keeps his friends close but his enemies considerably closer.
Depending on the verse (see relevant verses for more information) Ric is not tied down, instead he is happy to flit between relationships and one night stands for fear of becoming too attached. That said he's not a selfish lover at all. For Julio it's all about the taking and giving, in bed that's something he prides himself on.

HUNTER!VERSE:
NAME: Julio Rictor Esteban aka Ric or Rictor.
AGE: 29
This Julio was never born a mutant in this verse. Instead he was a human, who still lost his father at the tender age of six and was raised by his step-mother and those who he calls family. What Ric doesn’t know is that his father wasn’t actually killed because of a bodged robbery in his childhood home but was actually killed by demons whom had broken in to exact revenge.
Ric was brought up as a hunter of supernatural and paranormal but he also knows how to carry out basic maintenance jobs. It’s a useful range of skills to have when you’re out travelling the country looking for your usual line of work and people tend to find it easy to chat to handymen.

BONNIE&CLYDE!VERSE: (subverse of Hunter!Verse)
AGE: 24
Born and raised in Mexico Ric learnt how to hunt supernatural beings thanks to his step-mother and his extended family. He never knew anything different so to Ric this is what life is all about, travelling, helping others and dealing with the so called scum of the earth. Just before his twenty-first birthday Ric very nearly died, thanks to some smart mouthed, perky, outgoing blonde called Tabitha (double_dynamite ). Admittedly it was never her intention to kill him but despite that fact Ric nearly got to experience what it would be like to have a sawed off shotgun fired at close range into his skull. Thankfully instead he ducked and Tabs shot the Wendigo.
Since then (and a all be it brief but messy bar fight in Illinois) the pair have been inseparable, travelling the country together in search of the latest case requiring their assistance.
Things were going just fine and dandy until (unknown to Ric at the time) Lucifer used Tabs as bait to lure him in and tarnish his soul. He thought that he was willingly sacrificing himself to save Tabitha but in the end it wasn’t his girl but a shapeshifter pretending to be Tabs. However Lucifer quickly learnt that the pair weren’t as easy to control as he had first thought or hoped.
After managing to get their tarnished souls hidden the pair spent nearly over three years of putting their demonic skills to use in helping to try and stop the apocalypse. It was only after running into and suffering from some serious letching from Crowley that Tabs and Ric finally managed to catch up with the Winchester brothers and Bobby Singer.
Whereas Tabs, once human again, laid into every single Demon she could find, Ric silently brooded and wondered if maybe keeping their powers would have been the smarter move. Especially seeing how Lucifer still walks the earth determined to bring about the apocalypse.

BARFULLOF SPIRITS (BFoS) Verse:
After a chance meeting with Jo ( harvelleiam) Ric ended up agreeing to help her out with an electrical problem she was having at the Roadhouse. Having agreed to come by the next day and check it out for her Ric arrived, and after some more trademark flirting, randomly discovered some black goo coming from the fuse box. Apparently this freaked Jo out and she ended up telling him pretty much everything he needed to know pertaining to the ghost.
It was obvious that one of the things the ghost liked was, in fact, Ric since it had grabbed a hold of his ankle through a vent. Jo knowing for the most part what they were up against, took Ric from the Roadhouse back to the safety of his hotel room.
Yet things were about to get more complicated and not because of the ghost. The instand attraction between the pair results in a passionate night in bed but Ric isn't quite so eager to call it a one night stand. It seems that Jo feels the same and when the two start to learn more about each other there is a chance that they can be something more than just fuck buddies. Right?
But things don't stay simple... ish.
July 19th 2010, suddenly holds a whole new meaning for the pair as Jo and Ric get married in Vegas. The twist though? Neither of them remember going to Vegas let alone the wedding. It's even more awkward when they find a DVD and it's made pretty clear just how smitten they are for each other. And actually being married to Jo really isn't all that bad because as far as Ric can tell she is all he is looking for in a woman and more.
So maybe a divorce won't be needed anytime soon.
Maybe.
I mean it's not like things can get any more complicated between them.

He doesn't take sides; well unless you are anti-mutant then it's best to keep out of his way. Julio will cheat, lie, manipulate, charm, fuck, gamble, bribe and sleep with anyone to get what he wants. As a rule he keeps his friends close but his enemies closer.
He doesn't keep tabs on who he has slept with, notches on his bed post are so uncouth, but get him drunk enough and Julio will ramble on about some of his better fucks. If you are really lucky he might even demonstrate.

Julio Richter is a jack of all trades and a master of a few.
Due to his father's business, Julio (Ric to close friends) socialises in a range of circles meaning he gets to meet and fraternise with an eclectic range of people. He doesn't often take sides unless there is money or a pretty lady (or guy) involved and then the highest bidder generally will get Julio's loyalty. He's not above cheating and will willingly lie, manipulate, charm, fuck, gamble, kill, torture, torment, bribe and sleep with anyone to get what he wants. As a rule he keeps his friends close but his enemies considerably closer.
Depending on the verse (see relevant verses for more information) Ric is not tied down, instead he is happy to flit between relationships and one night stands for fear of becoming too attached. That said he's not a selfish lover at all. For Julio it's all about the taking and giving, in bed that's something he prides himself on.

HUNTER!VERSE:
NAME: Julio Rictor Esteban aka Ric or Rictor.
AGE: 29
This Julio was never born a mutant in this verse. Instead he was a human, who still lost his father at the tender age of six and was raised by his step-mother and those who he calls family. What Ric doesn’t know is that his father wasn’t actually killed because of a bodged robbery in his childhood home but was actually killed by demons whom had broken in to exact revenge.
Ric was brought up as a hunter of supernatural and paranormal but he also knows how to carry out basic maintenance jobs. It’s a useful range of skills to have when you’re out travelling the country looking for your usual line of work and people tend to find it easy to chat to handymen.

BONNIE&CLYDE!VERSE: (subverse of Hunter!Verse)
AGE: 24
Born and raised in Mexico Ric learnt how to hunt supernatural beings thanks to his step-mother and his extended family. He never knew anything different so to Ric this is what life is all about, travelling, helping others and dealing with the so called scum of the earth. Just before his twenty-first birthday Ric very nearly died, thanks to some smart mouthed, perky, outgoing blonde called Tabitha (double_dynamite ). Admittedly it was never her intention to kill him but despite that fact Ric nearly got to experience what it would be like to have a sawed off shotgun fired at close range into his skull. Thankfully instead he ducked and Tabs shot the Wendigo.
Since then (and a all be it brief but messy bar fight in Illinois) the pair have been inseparable, travelling the country together in search of the latest case requiring their assistance.
Things were going just fine and dandy until (unknown to Ric at the time) Lucifer used Tabs as bait to lure him in and tarnish his soul. He thought that he was willingly sacrificing himself to save Tabitha but in the end it wasn’t his girl but a shapeshifter pretending to be Tabs. However Lucifer quickly learnt that the pair weren’t as easy to control as he had first thought or hoped.
After managing to get their tarnished souls hidden the pair spent nearly over three years of putting their demonic skills to use in helping to try and stop the apocalypse. It was only after running into and suffering from some serious letching from Crowley that Tabs and Ric finally managed to catch up with the Winchester brothers and Bobby Singer.
Whereas Tabs, once human again, laid into every single Demon she could find, Ric silently brooded and wondered if maybe keeping their powers would have been the smarter move. Especially seeing how Lucifer still walks the earth determined to bring about the apocalypse.

BARFULLOF SPIRITS (BFoS) Verse:
After a chance meeting with Jo ( harvelleiam) Ric ended up agreeing to help her out with an electrical problem she was having at the Roadhouse. Having agreed to come by the next day and check it out for her Ric arrived, and after some more trademark flirting, randomly discovered some black goo coming from the fuse box. Apparently this freaked Jo out and she ended up telling him pretty much everything he needed to know pertaining to the ghost.
It was obvious that one of the things the ghost liked was, in fact, Ric since it had grabbed a hold of his ankle through a vent. Jo knowing for the most part what they were up against, took Ric from the Roadhouse back to the safety of his hotel room.
Yet things were about to get more complicated and not because of the ghost. The instand attraction between the pair results in a passionate night in bed but Ric isn't quite so eager to call it a one night stand. It seems that Jo feels the same and when the two start to learn more about each other there is a chance that they can be something more than just fuck buddies. Right?
But things don't stay simple... ish.
July 19th 2010, suddenly holds a whole new meaning for the pair as Jo and Ric get married in Vegas. The twist though? Neither of them remember going to Vegas let alone the wedding. It's even more awkward when they find a DVD and it's made pretty clear just how smitten they are for each other. And actually being married to Jo really isn't all that bad because as far as Ric can tell she is all he is looking for in a woman and more.
So maybe a divorce won't be needed anytime soon.
Maybe.
I mean it's not like things can get any more complicated between them.

He doesn't take sides; well unless you are anti-mutant then it's best to keep out of his way. Julio will cheat, lie, manipulate, charm, fuck, gamble, bribe and sleep with anyone to get what he wants. As a rule he keeps his friends close but his enemies closer.
He doesn't keep tabs on who he has slept with, notches on his bed post are so uncouth, but get him drunk enough and Julio will ramble on about some of his better fucks. If you are really lucky he might even demonstrate.
