after i take polaroid pictures, i hold a lighter a few inches away from the picture, but move it around not to leave the flame in one specific area for too long. this technique speeds up the developing process and causes for more brilliant color, but only with daytime pictures. another fun technique is to peel the picture apart and scratch away the devolopment in areas and then put white paper underneath to give streaks of scratchiness.
i have done the peeling apart and scratching thing. i like to write words on them and stuff. but i've never heard of/done the lighter technique... i'm going to have to try that sometime.
