eep. Well I've been a lurker of your journal for a while, and lemme tell you- you are fucking talented. Sheesh. You are definitley ahead of your years, and your photography is quite stunning. And I feel your anguish about staying in Florida and figuring out schools and such. I am 17 and a senior and I actually live in Melbourne (what part of florida are you from, anyway?), and I want to get out of Florida incredibly bad, but I just don't know if thats going to happen. So far I've gotten into UNF, and have applied to UF and FSU and I'm pretty sure I'll get in to those...but my ideal would be to go to art school in a real city. But I'm gonna see if I can get into Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota.....blah blah blahitsalotofmoney. But anyway, you most certainly have the potential for things much bigger and better than UCF! shoot high, baby.

ideally, i would like to go to cooper union in new york city. but it's one of the hardest schools to get into EVER.

i live in coral springs right now, but i'm moving to jacksonville(-ish) this summer. hopefully to go to douglas anderson school of fine and performing arts. i'll be taking photography classes at daytona beach community college that summer, too. i haven't heard of ringling school. i didn't know florida had any decent art schools..?

RINGLING is an awesome, really good art school, and really hard to get into. (I got to visit it over the summer.) I didn't know about it until fairly recently when I started looking at lots of graphic design magazines and kept seeing the name. They only accept like 430 freshman a year, on average. It's pretty small (like 2000), and not in a major city, but it is most definitley a top-notch instuition and the immediate area is very art-oriented. When I went I absolutley fell in love with the place.
