aww. i love that quote. there are definitely people who have had a special impact on my life, yet almost all of them will never know. i've learned from experience, however, that if you have the opportunity to tell them how special they are to you (like the man in the quote did not), something good will usually come of that. yay for really nice seniors in redcoats. :)
