well, i'd say that you're smart to want a relationship that is not based off of sex. I know, what do i know? i've never even dated anyone ever, but in my opinion, even if you never get physical with him, what matters is that you're happy being with him. And of course he wouldn't be upset if you didn't, because if he was, he'd be a jerk, which he isn't, since it seems like he really cares about you.
