Why does this always happen?

I have given more of my time to BUA then anyone else ever has. Seriously. I went in at 8am this morning (2 hours early for soccer practice) and did all of their mailings and embossed 150 fucking pages. And what do I get? Cut from the list of the big brother/big sister program. Wonderful. I had a 3.84 GPA last year, I don't think anyone loves that

Maybe they forgot to add you to the e-mail list?

They've forgotten me more than a few times. Ms. Michelman apparently wasn't aware that I was a junior last year because she was a little bit surprised when I asked to set up a meeting about colleges.

I don't count the BUA administration's opinion for very much anyway. If you aren't in the program you'll have loads of free time to do nothing or not come to school (depending on your classes) while others are forced to drag around new kids and go to the orientation things. Which means plenty of time to adjust to the doing-as-little-work-as-humanly-possible attitude of being a junior. Because being a junior is great fun.

This school REALLY needs to get it's act together in terms of admin stuff. It's really fucking awful. I'm sorry about you getting cut. For what it's worth, I remember last year, when you were taking the little bitty newbie freshmen to the computer lab for FirstClass setup or some such. We talked about Cara and Joseph and such.

Dana, my guess is that it's because of your BU class schedule. They didn't ask me either, if that helps at all. But it'd be tough on little siblings if their big sister had to run off to BU classes in the middle of orientation - I had to do that last year and when I came back all my little sisters (except Terra, lol) had basically been adopted by other big sisters. I'm sure it's nothing personal.

Joe has the exact same schedule as me except for math, or else that would be a good point. But yes, I was surprised they didn't ask you. That's what saved me- if they didn't pick you, what were they thinking?
