I am so sorry, hon. I know there's nothing much I can say to make any of this easier. I do not think you are horrible for wanting your dad to suffer as little as possible. Know I am thinking of you, and if I can do anything, let me know.

My MIL also has Alzheimers and while she doesn't have the physical health issues that your Father has, I can certainly sympathize. This is SUCH a difficult disease - both for the patient (I hate that word) and their family. Sending good thoughts your way hon.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this, Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. It is totally normal to want your loved one not to suffer... families decide to withdraw care or go "comfort measures only" for this reason... in no way an easy decision, but sometimes when there's not much quality of life left, opting to make what's left as good as possible.

The waiting for someone you love to die is awful... *hugs*
