In the City/At Mosquito Headquarters

Continued from HereKay glared back at Bray as they traveleddown the city streets toward Mosquito Headquarters. "Rathole? Funny term for a MALLRAT." She pointed out. "And I thought your Tribe would have filled you in on what's been happening. The city wasn't too happy when your girlfriend shut down the gates - with the only Hospital inside, not ( Read more... )

"I don't much care to be honest," he said as if she were rolling off old or unimportant news. "There are bigger things than petty power struggles. And I'm sure Moz will see it that way when she's heard what I've got to say."

He wondered to himself, what was the best way to get Moz on his side, maybe arranging a few things for her. Supplies? No she wouldn't need them. He wondered, and the only thing he could think of was power, something he was sure he could hand out in abundance if things came together.

"When did she demand the gates to be down?"

Kay was growing very confused. What was with all this "not caring" stuff? When did Bray become so...detached? "3 days from now." She told him. "And I guess we'll find out what Moz thinks. Here we are." They'd come to the HQ. She glanced back, debating as she opened the door, stepping inside. "MALLRAT!" She shouted a warning, hoping she wasn't calling out into an empty building.
Luck with her. Inside Moz, Riz, and Terri lept to their feet.

Bray was reacted qiuckly, he grabbed Kay across her shoulders and pulled her into him, as a human shield, his other arm grabbed her arm and twisted it behind her back, one foot pressed onto her heal to make it harder for her to kick and hold her balance proprly.

"Hold it!" he shouted out. He'd hoped for better than aggressive negotiations, but what could you expect from these.

Kay was taken by surprise. She struggled a little, but quickly realized it was futile, and looked to the other Mosquitos for help.
Moz glanced from Bray and Kay to Riz and Terri. She signaled her girls to stay back. "Well, this is a surprise." She stated. Why was Bray here? Had Trudy recognized her voice? Realized it was her shooting at the Mall? But even if they knew, why would Bray come alone? "Mallrats just seem to think they can waltz into any place in the city whenever they feel like it, don't they? But you're certainly against anyone returning the favor." She picked up her whip. "I suggest you let her go, and explain why you're here, or this might get ugly."
