Room 234/236: Tuesday evening

Parker had just finished wrapping Jack's present, and was now staring at the phone. After the weekend she'd had, then talking to Xander about the Centre, and Jack last night, and then dealing with a grieving Anders and unsettled Bridge, and depressed Chris and downcast Isabel today, about the only semi-cheerful conversation she'd had in days had

"What bothered you about this weekend?" Blair asked, leaning forward. It helped him to think that even Parker was thrown off by the events in space.

"Blair--" Parker didn't know if he was hoping Bel got away, or dreading that the Source did. "I don't think so. Anders and Chris and Isabel-- all seemed really sure." She was quiet a moment, then reluctantly said, "But you should probably talk to them. So you can know what happened for sure."

Blair looked at Parker for a long moment and shook his head, gulping. "N-n-no. I don't wanna hear how he...the details. I-I believe you."

He shifted sideways into Parker, upset enough that he didn't even think about twice about hugging her and crying on her shoulder.

Parker felt so badly about lowering the boom on his hopes for Bel, she couldn't even push him away. Just squeeze his shoulder, and pat his back, and wish like hell that the truth wasn't true.

Eventually the tears turned to sniffles and Blair drew back a little and rubbed his forehead a little. He took a minute to dig into his backpack and grab tissues and finally he looked back up at Parker. "I feel like I should apologize for that, but I'm not really sorry. So...thanks."

"You don't have anything to apologize for. And you're welcome." Parker brushed some of his hair out of his face, and gave him a half-smile. "Hang on." She got up, and retrieved a bottle of water from the fridge, and handed it over. "Here."

"Thanks." Blair took the water gratefully, chugging half the bottle. "You probably can't answer this...but what's going to happen now? Is there a service or something?"

"I don't know," Parker admitted. "I think everyone's in shock. And Phoebe's with her sisters right now, so it should probably wait until she gets back." She combed a hand through her hair. "But... I think a lot of people would appreciate a chance to say good-bye." She smiled gently at him. "It's a good thought."

"Yeah." Blair stood abruptly and pointed at the door. "I think I'll go and...sleep or something."

"Yeah." Parker folded her arms. "Come back if you... need to talk." Her lips quirked. "I might even hug you or something."

"Softie." Blair said quietly and sketched a wave before heading out the door.
