This in entirely normal behaviour for a technology company:

  • Microsoft - write DOS, kill competitors to Office, start bashing Unix servers, make browser by buying in tech, flail
  • Apple - build computer, kill PC desktop publishing for a while, start waving at Windows machines, make browser by buying in tech, flail
  • Google - write search engine, kill competitors (remember Altavista?), start bashing MySQL for being too slow, make browser by buying in tech, flail

It's not a bad browser, as browsers go, but I'm now waiting for Firefox with the Chrome javascript engine bolted in - Vroomfox or something, I suspect... When that appears, I will be happy - I like fast JS!

Oh, and I wasn't actually intending to sound like a Vogon psychiatrist...
