To post the final announcement to the comm (either the author or artist) yes an LJ account will be needed. For artists it's needed so they can claim, as claims are members locked and all artist claiming need to be a member of the community to see it.
This is all we require accounts for though and if someone wants to sign up with a different account this is fine (as long as they get one in the future for either of these things).
The purpose of checkpoints is to give us -- and you -- an idea of how far along you are in your writing process. It also lets us know whether you might need help and whether we can provide that.
There are a lot of people that prefer to keep their real life identities and fannish activities separate so facebook would not be a good platform for this, especially given that mpreg is one of the more unusual tropes. We will however discuss setting up a support community on LJ and there will be a tumblr for members to follow.
Just double checking, does ABO omegaverses count even if (omg the omega delivers puppies?) I kind of slid into that trope though the litter of puppies shift a few weeks after their born. I don't think I can participate this year, but I'm hoping in the next round as I have actually written and tomorrow will post my 1st mpreg in an ABOverse. If I can't write maybe I can participate by cheering someone on... off to go see if there's a cheerleading post.
I didn't see this answered anywhere else, so I figured I'd ask.
I'm a member on gsd_rtfn which encourages writing every day for a week. And they have an option to share snippets of what you're working on and some hosts also ask you to share summaries, if you're allowed. Some mods for the big bangs also only allow snippets or summaries of 100 words or less.
What are the rules here for sharing snippets and/or summaries?
