Anything Else: My mom suffered a mild heart attack, she's doing much better now but that did slow me down a little.

Hey there, I'm so sorry about your mum! I'm very glad to heat she's okay though. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and WOW, that's an awesome word total. I love that you're writing Clint/Ianto <3

Thanks! It was a rather scary time but she's doing much better now. Clint/Ianto has taken over my muses so that's really helping the story to come along.

LOL! Kids definitely make it difficult to get the time you need to write. Dude, you're not dropped, you're awesome for continuing and WOOT almost 5K! Well done. Hope to see you turning in a rough draft at the next checkpoint :)

What I Like About the Story: The characters and their interaction.
What I Don’t Like About the Story: The story refuses to write itself, dang.
Anything Else: Personal issue that involves one of my dogs having canine stroke a couple of weeks ago and was bed-ridden for a week so I had to nurse her, thus, no writing for me then and until now because I'm swamped with other family matters - which is bad because I have tons of other fics for other challenges to work on.

Aww, don't worry, we know family things always come first. Thanks for wanting to continue! I hope your dog's much better now!

My dog isn't completely out of the woods yet, so I'm still distracted. I won't be sending in the rough draft anyway since I'm creating my own arts, right? So I'd have plenty of time to finish the story.

What I Like About the Story: At the moment, not very much.
What I Don’t Like About the Story: I'm not writing it.
Anything Else: My grandmother broke her hip, I'm sick and I'm just not in the mood to write. How complete does the story need to be when the rough draft is turned in?

Oh no, I'm sorry about your grandmother, I hope she's okay!

Copied out from our FAQ: Your rough draft should be at least 8,000 words or 80% done. It should have a clear beginning, middle and end. This way your artist and mixer can have a full story to work with in order to create art. It does not however need to be the completed fic. Hopefully that helps, let us know if you'd like to chat about it!

Thank you! She's moved to respite care and is doing better.

Oh, looking at my check in now, it looks so sullen. Thank you for this information. Since last night I'm now at 9,600 words and chugging along happily so I think everything will be okay, even if I might fill in some extra scenes afterwards.
