I hope that you will forgive the comment on the old post...
It seems that "cholesterol is caused by eating cholesterol" is a very common concept. Research indicates that this is not true, though. And certainly my own personal experience indicates that it is not.
I was kinda surprised to hear from a TV cook that the average meat eater isn´t eating that many whole cows in his / her life ( you know, if you would put together all the meat you ever had ). About three. At least in Germany. But then there are also pigs, and chickens, and ... etc.
I fear the cunning industry is defeating your plan by raising new cows for every slaughtered one. ...Sounds like from a zombie movie.
When I was a kid, my mother used to buy beef a full side at a time from a local butcher. They would cut it to order and then store it in their freezer area. I'm sure I've done at least 3 cows by now.
As for consuming my way to a greener tomorrow... You realize I was being factious, right? In my city, we laugh and point at global warming alarmists. Especially when we're buried under a record snowfall.

I wouldn't interpret ignoring crap science as being bad for the environment. ;)

I also just commented to someone today that I didn't get to the top of the food chain to eat rabbit food.
