It might be the neighborhood. It's blue-collar, conservative, and filled with elderly people for the most part. It's a wonderful neighborhood in a lot of ways, very safe and friendly, but yeah - a bit 'where is your man', apparently.

I guess so. Aside from a bizarre incident when one of my neighbours confused Sharon and I and thought my father had died when it was her step father who had passed away, no one has even commented on the change in my living arrangements. Local mores perhaps?
