Even after centuries, I still cannot wrap my head around what has become "Valentine's Day". I am quite positive that the Valentine Martyrs are WOULD BE completely and utterly appalled at what their valiant sacrifices have morphed into! Quite honestly I find it sickening. What do candy hearts and chocolate have to do with standing by one's unshaken faith?! Honestly I think these modern notions of love and romance and affection have more to do with that other February ritual. Such hedonism. Honestly.
