I need to send my predecessor another email asking for more info about my job and living in Tomiyama. You people are smart, what kinds of questions should I ask? I'm having a hard time thinking them up. What would you ask if you were going to be teaching JHS to Japanese childeren???

Places to go, in all price ranges (free to not so free to I gotta wash dishes to pay my bill). Don't forget to ask about important things like markets, the library and goverment buildings you might have to visit. Um, maybe ask about some of his personal favourites - you might end up discovering something you might otherwise have missed. Maybe ask about the other faculty members and if there's any functions coming up where you can spend time with them away from work to get a better sense of commradery.

And of course, ask him if a commitee has been formed to save those poor Harajuku girls from Gwen Stefani and where you can sign up.

And then ask him if he'd like to donate something to the Send Stormy Cool Stuff from Japan project.

That's all I got, hope it helped! :D

You need to find out how far away the local booze shop is to the school, and if they have high quality whores.

how many kids will you be teaching, what are the disciplinary actions that can be followed, will you have an assistant, what to do about lunch (can you bike/walk to a food place or will you have to bring your lunch)....... what happens when you are sick --how many sick days do you have and who will you call to fill your spot for the day, what happens if you do not understand what a student is saying in japanese......thats all i can think of now
