I've spent a little time trolling around LJ looking for fanfic and folks who are interested in western-themed slash. This is not all that easy, to tell the truth. I joined several communities in order to get the lay of the land and see what they had to offer

There are communities out there to introduce new communities, that much I know. I don't have an URL available, but you should be able to get something through the search function, looking for community announcement or somesuch.

You could also ask Janissa if she would mind if you introduced your comm on hers. I doubt that she would. I mean, the more people there are interested in related subjects, the better and more active it's going to be for everyone.

Yes, now the dilemma is, should I advertise *before* anything is happening at the community or should I wait until I at least have a base of interested folks.

I'll email Janissa after the holiday and see if she agrees, and in the meantime, thanks for signing up!
