So yesterday I went shopping with my friend A, who works at a big-box store (she'd offered to get me her employee discount for Ben's birthday present). It was awesome. Like having a high-powered Retail Attorney

Ooh! I think I see a better hack here.

Step 1. Use a credit card that offers rewards for using it. Preferably cash, but other rewards will do.

Step 2. Purchase gift cards with the credit card.

Step 3. Insert your friend's method. Use cash to pay back credit card.

Repeat as necessary!

(I'm guessing someone stops you when you try to scale this operation to noteworthy profits.)
