I Have The Cure For Depression And It Is This Icon

Inn high school I had a friend who was ALWAYS depressed and constantly talked about killing himself ["i keep a GUN under my bed!!", etc.]. For a few years I was really concerned about him, but after a while it became clear that he was just being angsty to get attention, which isn't very modest or admirable at all.

Also, I agree that it's important to experience strong, discontented emotions in this world of passive-aggressive mindlessness, but why should one respect depression more than any other feeling?

Its not being SAD that i respect(or attention greedy people), more of the lack of arrogance (which usually seems to come attatched to depression). And actually, arrogance is understandable as long as people don't let it get to their heads. People thinking they are better than each other is not good. Selflessness is GOOD.
I'm talking about the kind of depression that people don't let ya know about - y'dig?
CONTAINED depression - hard to do it.
