1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Worked at the Firemountain food arena

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any because I am a flawless human being.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Well, no.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Well, a friend of my families was shot to death on his front lawn (approx. 150 feet from my house), I'm pretty sure that my former boss from Quiznos (Jiten Patel) was shot and killed in his convenience store by Sam's, a girl I graduated a year behind was shot in the stomach by the Civic Center (she died the day after I originally wrote this).  No one especially close although I am sort of freaked out.

5. What countries did you visit?
the midwest

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
is a plasma cannon too much to ask for? (that and financial freedom as well as the RIGHT TO RELIEVE MY BLADDER WHEREVER I FUCKING PLEASE)

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
December 25 was Christmas if I recall

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
good question!

9. What was your biggest failure?
Sociology midterm?  fark if ah noe

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
got the wisdom teeth yanked and now the gums hurt sometimes, got punched in the face...

11. What was the best thing you bought?
an external hardrive.  didn't really consume vast amounts of anything as much as the monkey would have liked

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
The guardian angel that allowed me to live through some very irresponsible escapades

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
The usual suspects...

14. Where did most of your money go?
I spent a lot on shitty beer and drums... I had fun, but now I have 20 bucks and change in my account and nothing miraculous to look at

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
hanging out with good folk, making stuff, getting stuff

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2005?
Aneurysm (those guys from seattle)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? kind of a similar in between state with occasional dips either way
ii. thinner or fatter? bout the same
iii. richer or poorer? poorer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
wandered around Ohio

urination.

24.Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
a few, but I solve that by never interacting with them.  Hate might be to strong a word.  I didn't know them this time last year.

25.What was the best book you read?
right now I'm reading The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley, and its pretty rad

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
medeski martin & wood, Coliseum (toured with Kylesa), Sex Mob, the Gummo soundtrack..  I managed to start liking the grateful dead (which says a lot, given how many shit bags think they were the first people to ever hear of them and my tendency to not like things liked by people I don't like)

27. What did you want and get?
new scenery, cool womenfolk... I didn't really want anything real bad like

29. What did you want and not get?
my family to spiral back down to earth in my absence

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
prolly Devil's Rejects... that might actually be the only movie I saw in theaters

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 18 and celebrated by going to school and then getting really fucked up and skeeted at Tyler's old crib

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
bringing my Savannah friends to Ohio (and my car)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
shirt pants shoes jacket, the concept was not to be naked in front of the eyes of the world

34. What kept you sane?
I would like to say drinking, but that actually has the opposite result, so MY PALS

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Y'know, they're all such deep people (I know all of them very well) its just impossible to choose a favorite

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Intelligent design being taught as an scientific alternative to evolution in Kansas, maybe i could list a few more that my life and opinion have absolutely no effect on (Howdy war on terror!)

37. Who did you miss?
several people, although i don't know if the feeling is mutual

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I have difficulty deciding which persons are the BEST

-being nice to people makes life a lot easier than getting bitter
-Ohio is fucking cold
-communication helps things
-weed makes me anxious and illogical (and kinda slow)
-NEVER TAKE A PISS ON SOMEONE'S DIRT
