"Maurice" on stage @ the Above the Stag Theatre in London - My impressions

In the middle of March I took the train from Paris to London to see the quite wonderful stage adaptation of “Maurice” at the small Above the Stag theatre near Victoria station.

Thank you for the review. I wish some company would stage this near me. I live in Michigan, so that hope is a slim one.

The three principal characters would require strong performances. It's too bad the Scudder actor didn't live up to expectations.

If the hotel scene was eliminated, how did the play relate the fact that Alec at first scoffed at Maurice's suggestion that they stay together? Did Maurice just go to the ship and conclude that since Alec wasn't there, it meant he was waiting at Penge?
