Thank you so much, Emily! This comic was kinda an inking exercise actually. I'm trying to get better at using the cintiq, so to get a better feel for the pressure sensitivity, I tried to ink this all with just one brush size. I got it about 90% done that way, but then it was just taking for ever, so I bent the rules a little at the end.
New Nandi coming in the first week of September (if not sooner).
"so glad you found a project to fire yourself up!"
Me too! It so nice when a project is just something you want to do; everything comes easier when you're not fighting it to make it work the whole time.
Hey great to see new stuff from you! I LOVE the swoop from the knife to the critter on the bottom of the second page. And the mysterious caption in the second last panel.
Also: FUNFACT: My niece has a doll named Nandi. She pronounces it "Nun-dee" which I teasingly mispronounce "Naaaan-dee"
Thanks so much Jason! I wanted to try some new stuff with panels/page lay-out on this one (I just hoped it would work).
Also; the original spelling was "Nondi", but Maria read it over my shoulder and said "it's spelled with an 'A'", and I never second-guess my proof-reader.
