I'd express shock and sadness about Vampira - except that I'd vaguely assumed she'd been dead for some time. Still, a pity to lose her now that I know we actually still had her, anyway....

Good luck with the work and housing searches.

She was 86, amazingly.

Thanks for the best wishes. If something useful occurs to you on the job front, let me know! :)

and possibly Torture Garden in the near future

Surely that depends on to what, precisely, the padlocks and chains are attached?

The wild horses dragging me there, clearly :/

In seriousness, I did actually have an idea involving being attached to the ventilation pipes hanging above the stage area, and setting up a net/sheet affair to catch me when I got free - almost getting into Circus territory, in fact. Lot of preparation involved in a show like that, though.

Alternatively have a group of amazonian women (Les Flayettes) standing below to catch you.

It's a lovely thought, but I wouldn't be able to pay them all. Then they'd drop me. Or shoot me full of arrows. It's just too risky.

Jobs: I thought of you quite strongly when the Metro ran one of their articles on different jobs. The job was being a film censor, which the woman was at pains to explain involves watching a wide range of programs and not just the latest films.

You have to take notes, and pay attention to things other than plot, and they deliberately schedule people to watch children's programs, hardcore porn, and documentaries, as well as playing computer games, to keep them sharp.

I don't think they hire that often, but I meant to mention it.

Yeah, I went for it two years ago. :) Don't have enough experience in child psychology, I think. Either way, I didn't even get to interview, which was depressing.

Manage>Customize>Customize your theme (box on the right)
It defaults to "Display"
Set Disable customized comment pages for your journal to No.
Go to "Text" and type what you want.

Good luck with your life changes!

Hmm. Half-fixed. I know I can't change what is seen on other people's friends pages, unfortunately, and will have to work something out for the "reply" button at the top of individual entries. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I don't think you can change what is seen on other people's pages, possibly unless they've got it set to show other people's customisations somewhere. I know I've got it set to always say "spit out the shells" in my friends page and that will always override anything set on the journals.
