Questions To The Secretary Of State For Housing

Questions! To the Secretary Of State For Housing. Questions to be asked in an against/for pattern.

Q. 1 (con): Is it true that the fleapit in East Finchley has now got holes in all the windows, and dreadful commuting links?

Secretary: It is true that the place in E Finchley is beyond rescue. Indeed, the owner himself is facing the prospect of remortgaging it in order to fix up the many problems in the property. However, The Democratic Republic of Flay sees no benefit in waiting for this eventuality, and so we have decided to change the site of the Grand Palatial Residence altogether.

Q. 2 (pro): Would the Secretary give details of the proposed Grand Palatial Residence?

Secretary: It gives me great pleasure to announce that the new Grand Palatial Residence will be located on the South of the River, in a 9/10th story maisonette in Elephant And Castle, with cosy rooms, stunning views, excellent travel links, and all mod cons.

Q. 3 (con): How much will this monumental shift of Residence drain from the DRF's Federal reserve?

Secretary: In proportionate terms, the bond, the first month's rent and the bills will drain a little over half of the federal reserve. However, it should be noted that the bond is refundable on vacation of the new residence, the monthly travel costs will decrease significantly, and the improvement in living standards is well worth the expenditure. We have not yet calculated the costs of the moving process itself, as we are still assessing tenders for removals.

Q. 4 (pro): Is it true that the DRF will be setting up residence with rosamicula?

Secretary: The Grand Palatial Residence is indeed to be located within the home of rosamicula. The DRF has had a cordial relationship with this nation state for a long time, and I anticipate that this will flourish with this new international agreement.

Q. 5 (con): Can the Secretary comment on Elephant And Castle's reputation as a shithole?

Secretary: While the Castle's reputation (and rhyming slang) precedes it and the surrounding area is not exactly salubrious, the flat itself is very lovely, and there are many advantages to the location. The commute to work and the centre of town is markedly easier - indeed, the journey to work is walkable in less time that it currently takes the Executive to reach a tube station - and there are many facilities within a very short work/tube ride, including a climbing centre, Borough and Soho. The tube station itself is literally two minutes walk from the flat - literally 10-12 times quicker than the current residence.

Q. 6 (pro): When will the move to the new residence take place?

Secretary: The move will take place on March 8th.

All Hail Edwinbashi!
