Ron Paul

I'm never one to talk religion or politics as they usually get pretty heated. I'm making an exception with this man Ron Paul. He's not a traditional Republican. He's actually shunned by them because he has realistic views. He's too smart to be president, that's why it probably will not go any further than this. I hope i'm wrong because he has my ( Read more... )

How cool would it be if we had RuPaul as president? Imagine RuPaul giving a motational speech to the troops in Iraq? Imagine RuPaul addressing the UN General Assembly? The USA would be totaly safe from any international terrorism or any sort of attack. The whole world would thing the entire country has REALLY gone insane and they'd leave us alone like one keeps away from the cross-eyed street person who eats raw onions, wears a wig and a flack jacket while constantly talking about his plan for world peace.

Just think of how much more flare there'd be on the uniforms if RuPaul was the Commander in Chief, eh?

I don’t believe in small government or libertarian views, of which he has many. We need taxes and we need government sponsored programs and services - you and I would be out of a job without them. We can’t depend on the free market to take care of the people - look at how well the health care system is running (which he wants to keep privately run)!
He’s also anti same-sex marriage and abortion, and pro school prayer, which is just ridiculous in this day and age.

I want Gore to run, but I doubt it is going to happen.

I did'nt know he was anti same-sex marriage and abortion, and pro school prayer. I have to admit the one time I saw him on on Bill Mahrs show I was impressed with they guy. Wasn't going to vote for him but he did make a good impression. I never bothered to look in to his beleifs because I'd never vote for a Republican.

Trust me, i want Gore to run to. He wont though. Maybe in 4 more years.

Last i heard he wanted Universal Health care, if he's changed from that i apologize. As far as his anti-abortion, he's an OB/GYN and i can see why he would be for that. Doesn't mean i agree. He want's to lower taxes not get rid of them. EVERY canidate always wants to lower taxes. Lastly with all the videos, interviews and postings i've read over the months it didn't come across that he's anti same-sex or pro school prayer (even on his site). If he is i think that is ridiculous in this day and age as well. As of right now i still like him the most.

There's a lot about Libertarianism that I like, but when he talks about how socialism fails, I think he's confusing it with Communism. When he talked about how health care in the US is failing he's implying that socialism is to blame and that more socialism is only going to make it worse. The problem with health care isn't socialism, it's bureaucracy.
