today i bought Watchmen. when i used to go to the movie theatre next to Barnes & Noble, some nights we would kill as much as three hours waiting for a movie to start. i kept seeing watchmen on the shelf along with V for vendetta. they both looked like thoroughly bland books, although i had an inkling that they were important, in a literary way

It's a good book, but I get all snobbish and say the only way to read it is one episode every month for a twelve month period. I was buyin' the comics when they first came out and think it was good to have that much time between episodes, to process and reread.
