Thanks guys, the sympathy is highly apreciated. It's not too great a shock, the signs of impending doom have been there for two weeks or so, what with the vendors being very evasive and extremely unhelpful...oh and lying to us very badly (if you must lie, make it vaguely convincing). What's more annoying is the £800 down the tube, not something we can afford, if this happens again we won't be moving full stop.
My Lawyers and bank have been very nice about it - it comes to something when lawyers and bankers are the nice guys in the great clusterfuck that is your life : )
