A BEE OF EXTRAORDINARY MAGNITUDE

Jul 27, 2006 14:21

I think I've just seen the biggest bee in the world, she was almost the size of a shrew. I have named her Geraldine.

That is all.

Are you sure that Geraldine wasn't a French shrew on holiday. Look for a small beret and a string of spring onions. She already has the stripey jumper.

An excellent point, well make.

Forget the beret and onions, look instead for a bag with swag written on it, and possibly a small domino mask.

I have appropriately forgotten the original poster of the lament, but it goes something like:

"Typical, you spend hours crafting an eloquent, insightful, witty entry on a topic of global importance, and you don't get a single comment. But post,'Damn, I like Toblerone!', and they're all over you..."

I think I would have called her Beatrice the Bee, I like to name my creatures names that begin with the letter of their family name, or classification, or species or whatever works. *L* I saw what I thought was a monster bee the other day, only to realise it was a small humming bird. *blush*

I bet Geraldine packs one hell-of-a- sting!

I'm smelling the presence of a large hawkmoth, such as the aptly named Hummingbird Hawkmoth. they hang around flowers such as honeysuckle at at a distance do a passable impression of a hummingbird.
