"I'm who your mom wanted when she was 19 but settled for your dad"

I recently quit making music. I just got burned out. I love music I don't know why I really quit. I broke all the strings on my guitars so that I wouldn't be tempted to play or write. It just seem like the same stuff over and over.

That was crazy to quit something you love. It would be different if it was a have to thing like when I had to give up the piano because my father had to sell it. But then again I did quit singing in Chorus after 7th grade..was too chicken to try out after we moved from Bama to here. So now I haven't sung except to the radio since the early 80's now I have the chance to do it in a group situation at church but I just don't know..still that scared little teenager I guess. People hear me sing at work and have encouraged me to join the choir or even sing karaoke..maybe it's just me but I don't think I'm all that great.

No way, that's not like you Jer. I hope this is a temporary thing man, because damn you have so much potential. Your like the most likely to make it out of the entire local scene man. This just isn't like you, I'm going to call you when I get home from work.

It's all fucking rubbish anyways. If I was talented I would have done something with it already. It's time for the boy to become a man no more trying to make it as a musician. People say that there are challenges in life, what it really is, is that life is the challenge. Sure I have fun playing but I hate writing. My skills as a writer can be compared to Jay Leno as a actor just terrible.
