I think the fact that you referred to the gentleman that the 'macaca' comment was directed to as 'black' when in actual fact, the person was Indian (as in Hindi) and was in fact an naturalized American citizen, which made Allen's comments even more over the top because he was basically saying that he believed anyone who wasn't white wasn't American. Racist and ignorant.

Plus there were other people of the persuasion of 'not white' at that speach, but the news coverage only shows the clips of Allen making an ass of himself with the microphone.

But still.

1 point for Mr. DAQ. I'd give 2 but there was the typical DAQ-Rant costing 1 point for drifting in an unrelated direction.

So yes, the comment was meant for our esteemed original poster for being both funny but being a tad color-blind despite overwhelming news coverage to make up for it.

And I'll stop trying to be funny now because it doesn't seem to work and I'll likely confuse myself trying to find the punchline.

ahhh another good day was started by the rantings of a dirty old man.

on a side note dave and alvin both put in there 2 weeks noticeone day apart.

MAN that threw me off the first time I read it, when I saw "dave" and "alvin" so close together...i thought you were talking about the guitarist and former frontman for the Blasters, Davey Alvin. I heard he was supposed to play near here sometime soon.

Well, that should make for an interesting department of ONE at work for you. Good luck with that.
