This is one of the many stories of Sarbox the Destroyer, Scourge of the Actuarial Barbarians and Omen of the Coming Darkness of That Which Shall Know No Name. In all fairness, this SHOULD make no sense whatsoever...but I will personally give Ten (10) shiny, brand-new Cool Points to any one of you little demon-piglets who can translate this post ( Read more... )

Pretty much, that's worth a cool point. But I'm hoping somebody can point out all my absurd references.

And how would you feel about the further adventures of Sarbox the Destroyer?

I got the Mulatto King and his '08 blowhards, the Witch-Queen is pretty obvious, as is the NAFTA reference... but as to the meaning of Sarbox himself, I think it shall give my brain fits for a fortnight... unless you're talking about television, the Czar-box, but I fail to see how that is a scourge of actuarial barbarians (the double-entry bastards).

You do Grignr proud, bard. More ale! More tales!

Dead on the money. The Sarbanes Oxley act...which actually has no bearing on the news from the other day (Obama and Clinton got into a "I hate Nafta more,"/"No I do." and when the smoke cleared...Nafta looks undamaged) but I like to use the name of the Sarbox because it really begs to have 'the Destroyer' tacked on afterwards.

All this is another in an endless string of ways to amuse myself--this time by rewriting legitimate news stories in the style of Robert E. Howard's Conan and seeing if people can decipher them.

Of everybody I know, Chris, I figured you the most likely to decipher the Tomorrow-Land of Paguin Noca.

Everything else, dead on.
