Richmond smelled like burning chlorine when we laid our tires across I-64 tarmac.

Feel the burn! )

"Jason is with me, and we’re sitting at the pool at 11pm, in 72 degree weather with next to no humidity, ordering Chinese food with our feet in the water."

I believe that was possibly the most peaceful I've ever felt in a long time... And I concur sir, paragon of human existence. An apex of ataraxis.

Heh... yeah, we need to make that con better. And I'm glad when I woke up at 8:40 saturday morning I decided against going to the writing panel via using TJs badge... Sounds like I might've cried...

And that would be jawesome if Ant could DJ... I'll probably be doing staff every year from now on so maybe I could talk to someone, although, he could probably contact the person who runs the con and figure out how one would be recruited as a DJ.

The paragraph at the very end has the e-mail address you can petition to for increased length in the seminars and basically suggest to people who you want doing what. I'll see about putting together a plan with Anthony this weekend and write up a sample form letter. It'll all be in my Part 2 post, later this week.

You might have cried in the writing panel...you might have laughed. Dave and I typed notes back and forth...because it helped us stay sane.

Sadly, i am not. But Jason will be. You must find him and beat him about the shoulders for he plans to miss out on your show this saturday.

It's a shame you weren't there. I could have used another island of sanity. Good times, otherwise.

Wait... Karaoke hostess... You mean Kara? http://luna-c.mhost.com/cast.html (bottom left).
I'll finish reading past that part after I get barbecue and study for my Chinese test tomorrow ;p

Sweet jumping Jesus, woman! Is there anybody you don't know?!

And yes. That is her. She got Konata's karaoke thingy down pat...and made me sad, because I'm enough of a girl to watch that show. Oh, but surely you have more to say than just that. Here I'm hoping you'll get all Kamizilla on my ass.

Good luck on your test tomorrow, princess.

Yeah, I guess with just us few people trying to make some semblance of a difference we're hoping we can at least get some things improved...

I mean, you're at an anime convention... the least they could do is have a decent writing panel considering that's what half the people there usually do for a living... Granted not all of them good, but you'd think the best would want to take control and teach some people a thing or too for fear of the future generation... sucking.

I'm working on that. As well as Part 2, about the Lowering of Standards. Today, however, I was derailed by Sarbox and lesbians.

But it's not sad. That's just it. It's invigorating to be filled with the conviction to want to go out and make a change. To take some of the weight of the disappointment on my own shoulders and say, "Well, it's not like I did anything to help except write out 3,000 words of complaint." But I am.
