Hows does that happen? didn't you notice the lack of paying? :-) That's an impressive amount for milk, and i should know, i used to live off it... winner!
I was aware of it mounting up, just always out when he called round to settle up, and to some extent enjoying the social experiment of seeing when he would start to leave a note about it or something. In the end he was very apologetic about it, which was rather sweet.
I had my previous milkman for years, and knew him well. He had a horse and cart and everything! I think one of my bills with him got up to nearly ninety quid, but he knew I was good for it, and when he retired and brought the new chap round to do introductions he made it clear that I was a reliable customer. Nice to know that some folk are old-fashioned and civilised in their business dealings... ;o)
