I agree wholeheartedly sir. Humanity, technology and the physical sciences have taken some impressive steps together, but one day let us hope that it becomes a dance between the stars!

As for the latter quotes, I think that as anyone becomes more established, in any area of study, they have a greater tendency to make general statements, based on their wisdom and experience. Sometimes these are of use and sometimes they are over-generalised.
