Well, yes, some things are big, and some things are nearby, but as it's a major public sculpture project I think you can rest easy that a thorough health and safety assessment will be carried out.
Well now I've seen the others I'm not so sure about the horse, its interesting but I think for giant sculpture I prefer less realistic stuff, theres something a little odd about the giant horse with full bridle on the landscape.
The Daniel Buren signal tower I thought was quite interesting, series of cubes with a single pillar of laser going through the centre and upwards, however that might well cause more H&S issues, not to mention light pollution.
Now, I'll admit I've seen nowt to beat the Uffington White Horse for public sculpture, and that's an abstract depiction of a horse, from 1000BC, but whilst Wallinger's horse is undoubtedly a little peculiar, it's the only piece that really grabs me on all levels, heart, mind and soul.
The signal pillar intrigued me, as it reminded me of Futurist and Art Deco schools from the early 20th century, but there's just no depth to it for me.
House - Dire! I really dislike it. Horse - I like, although it's very strange to look at. Cubes - Wierd, but cool. It doesn't really speak of the South though. Wing - I like the wing and disc. It's strange but oddly beautiful. 'Nest' - Oh my fucking god. That's so terrible it's bound to win just as some sick joke.

Now all we need to do is find champions for the house on the hill and the giant climbing frame thingy, and we can have a five-way grand melee!
