It would be easy to say that we have a lot of history in the British Isles, after all, I live in an old Roman Empire frontier town, and most towns and cities in the country can claim Roman roots, but experiencing somewhere like Lowther, it's one of the closest thing to time travel. You can see the ghosts in the landscape, and how they are connected with the villagers that live there now. In places more obsessed with building thousands of tiny houses and apartments, and cramming people in willy-nilly, such ghosts and their connections are sadly shut away.
