Y'know, I never thought about it before, but if someone left a beautifully wrapped eggplant on my doorstep I probably would be rather touched. :)

If Father Valentine had a fast jet I can imagine him gifting you with a pungled potato or a rudely shaped carrot, but an eggplant sounds awful swish! ... ;o)
