Sorry about the not good stuff. Parents are a frequently bittersweet entanglement that defies all our reasoning. Likely they often feel the same about us.
Finding your niche in the world is a PROCESS not a mere destination.

no worries 28 years old this year 1 year into PhD program before that was living with parents working at McDonald's research assistantship was a lucky break felt like a total fuck up before that and I had a master's degree and just had a museum internship
