I have just switched my LiveJournal language to English (UK). So with that in mind, I will test my new settings to see if words like:

favourite
centre

honour

will be recognised as correctly spelled words.

people actually spell "honour" without a "u"? Move to Canada! the assimilation of ignorance is still growing, but we still mostly do spell things properly. Metre, centre, theatre ...

i just spell-checked this entry and it flagged all the words i wrote, plus "honour" .... it's trying to tell me that "hon our," "met re," and "cent re" are possible words to use instead ... what the hell?
i do notice myself slipping up, though ... i automatically omitted the "u" when i started to type honor ... see, did it again ... nooooooooooooooo ....

The Americans like to delete the U, switch the RE around and change some S to Z. I think there are a couple of other things they do, but I can't remember off the top of my head. So the words I listed would be:
