I just read this over at hpvalensmut but thought I'd hop over here to comment as it's so late.

Not that my comment's especially valuable or anything - I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the fic. The sense almost of detachment you created in the first section, and the contrasting urgency once he finds Harry made it feel so immediate.

I don't mind admitting that I was in tears throughout the final scene, and that it's left me feeling altogether very peculiar. The scene with McGonagall in the boat, in particular, was delightfully surreal.
