Well. I finally found a book on Krypton in the Library. It's very different, however to the tablet left with me in the rocket. It looks and sounds such a cold, bleak place. I guess I just have to accept that, like Earth, there are probably many versions of Krypton in many alternate universes. The versions of Earth that Surge, Jill and Felicia are from are all similar, yet have thier own differences. Perhaps, in thier universes, billions of miles away from thier solar systems exist versions of Krypton. Alternates of my own birthplace that haven't exploded. Perhaps on those worlds there's a 25 year old Kal-El running around doing the things that all twenty five year old Kryptonian men do. I can only hope that, even though I doubt the Holiday is celebrated on this day on Krypton, he was nice to his Mother today. I certainly miss mine.
It's unfortunate that those of us who are close to our Mothers won't get to see them today. Still. Spare a thought for them, those that care to. And for those who miss their Mothers today, I can only say that I understand and sympathise.
