Hail Steven, fair of face

In the name of all that's sweet and holy..... I am a very tired Father Steven. I have travelled north and south America with my band of willing nuns, in the name of converting the unwashed hordes to The Way of The Truth and The Light (that never goes out), to the Hope of Erection Resurrection in the World to Come. A World of Quiffs in sepia, but of ( Read more... )

We're all a bit worried about this musical, you do realise that.... don't you?

Of course I realise. And what I also realise is that, despite your misgivings, you'll still go and see it anyway.

See, I'm no fool.

And must you harrass me with photos of that adorable Mr Maher?

Ah, no, you're wrong there mate. I'm really skint and have a pathological horror of musicals. I'm still in therapy from having to see "Joseph & His Technicolor Dreamcoat" as a child. It starred Philip Schofield. The emotional scars, oh, the scars........

Yes, I must thrust Marr before your eyes. How else will you realise the error of your ways? Look in his face. All that longing.

Are you really suggesting that my musical is going to be like "Joseph"? I must say, I'm truly, truly shocked. How dare you say that!*

Do you think Johnny longs for me, or for the days when he was in a band that didn't release terrible records?

Still, he hugged me all the time. I rather enjoyed that.

*Though to be fair, I should add that I'm not much fond of musicals either. I believe that in some countries it's used as a form of torture.

Yay, Mr. Morrissey is back. I realize he must have been very busy finishing his tour and finding religion, but I missed him all the same!

Mike Joyce is your son? You want us to wear necklaces engraved with his image, to worship him? I beg you to reconsider!

MoZ you are awe-inspiring in your pious pose it's definitely worthy of a truly devout following but then you know that already. I maybe in need of ministerial mouth to mouth resuscitation, any takers? Maybe I should consider throwing my atheism out of the window, "For I have surely seen the light, God bless the MoZ father!" Now I'm wondering what's instore for Earls Court, Santa Claus costumes perhaps with short dainty red skirts, the mind boggles.

Not sure about the musical though who could play MoZer it's an impossibilty. They threw the mould away when you were evacuated in this atrocious world. I know the need for Gucci must come first but I must impore when reclining on the casting couch pick a good ern for Gords Sake!

Yours Reverently Goo Goo!

Boz has suggested the band could dress as reindeer, but personally I think that Boz would make a fantastic Father Christmas with that rotund belly of his. Gary would be marvellous as an evil elf, and Deano has volunteered to wear a teatowel on his head and be the innkeeper. As for me, I'm thinking I'd be best as the fairy on top of the Christmas tree.

Oh, if they cast someone even vaguely ugly to play myself, I will initiate slaughter.

Thank you, Goo Goo. I take it the sun is down and the moon is up?
